Years ago, Tupac Shakur made a famously qouted line in one of his songs, “Even though it seems heaven sent, we ain’t ready to see a black President.” Well Mr. Shakur, it was heaven sent, and we are now ready to see that black President.
Check out the video from Young Jeezy below called “My President” and pay attention because I think he mentions the word Allah in the first part of the sound before 2:00 minutes in.

I really hope that Barack Obama is elected next President of the United States. For once, I have hope, that I can feel proud to be an American Muslim with a President that will lead us into a new, brighter, and better future for the United States. A President that we can trust… A President who gives up hope… A President who truly represents the American People…. YES WE CAN!
An African American beating out a white woman in a race to become democratic candidate for presidency. Oh wait! Was I not supposed to mention race…. Of course! What was I thinking?! We live in the United States of America, where ALL MEN ARE CREATED EQUAL. Therefore race should not matter… right?!
Ok… fine… you want me to buy the idea that race doesn’t matter…. Then what about gender?! Clearly gender must matter in this presidential race?!
So, the question is, who would Americans rather have as a president? A black man, a white woman, or another G.W.B….. I mean John McCain…
I am rooting for Obama! I think the very thing that the United States of America needs is an African American president. No offense to Hilary… but… hey, you are white!
Don’t get me wrong, my mother is white, and technically, my skin color is white as well. But ethnically, I have Iranian blood and American blood within me, therefore I am not a pure bred white American good ole’ boy as some would say. Makes me wonder…. could I one day be President of the United States?!
Nah…. I don’t think I could handle the pressure…. But, nevertheless…. Barack Obama seems to be the kind of President we need to bring America back to its glory days.
Yes We Can in 2008! For once, I have hope that America can elect a President that will really care about this nation. I sincerely hope that Allah makes this come true, and that Allah makes Barack Obama the person who will lead America out of its darkness that it has been thrust into, and into the light of acceptance, understanding, tolerance, prosperity, and leadership. As an American, I would be proud to call Mr. Barack Obama my President.
