Obama becomes front runner…

Well… Well… what do we have here….

An African American beating out a white woman in a race to become democratic candidate for presidency. Oh wait! Was I not supposed to mention race…. Of course! What was I thinking?! We live in the United States of America, where ALL MEN ARE CREATED EQUAL. Therefore race should not matter… right?!

Ok… fine… you want me to buy the idea that race doesn’t matter…. Then what about gender?! Clearly gender must matter in this presidential race?!

So, the question is, who would Americans rather have as a president? A black man, a white woman, or another G.W.B….. I mean John McCain…

I am rooting for Obama! I think the very thing that the United States of America needs is an African American president. No offense to Hilary… but… hey, you are white!

Don’t get me wrong, my mother is white, and technically, my skin color is white as well. But ethnically, I have Iranian blood and American blood within me, therefore I am not a pure bred white American good ole’ boy as some would say. Makes me wonder…. could I one day be President of the United States?!

Nah…. I don’t think I could handle the pressure…. But, nevertheless…. Barack Obama seems to be the kind of President we need to bring America back to its glory days.

Islamophobia: Is fear of Muslims racist?

Personally, I think Islamophobia is a bad term. Islam is perfect, Muslims are not. Therefore I can understand concern over “extreme” Muslim (or Christians, Jews, Hindus, etc.), however concern over Islam itself is a bit beyond my comprehension.

A Critique – Ayaan Hirsi Ali

This brief critique is based upon the interview of Ayaan Hirsi Ali from the link below. The link will give you a brief synopsis of who Ayaan is as well.

http://www.cbc.ca/onthemap/fullpage.php?id=87

That being said, I have, first of all, not heard another human being in my life use more cliched statements about the United States of America than this woman. Of course, she is an immigrant, but that is quite a sorry excuse for this seemingly indoctrination that she is preaching. By the end of this interview, I was utterly sick at my stomach, to think that she not only believes as strongly as she does in the “beauty” of the American Dream, but also that she was blindly believing that American democracy is the best form of government in the world.  Talk about wanting to scream at the top of my lungs!!!

Not only that, but Ayaan truly does not have a proper understanding of the religion of Islam. It was her OPINION that because Islam at its core is submission to Allah (God) and the teachings of the Quran and Sunnah, that somehow Muslims imagination, creativity, and freedom were cut off due to that fact. I was, in fact surprise, and quite pleased to hear the interviewer questioning her belief in that, and was doubly surprised to hear that her answer was just as bad, if not worse than answers of anti-Islam preachers and teachers. Clearly Ayaan knows many simple facts about Islam, and can spout off her opinion of the improper way supposedly Muslim governments run their countries, but it is very clear, and very obvious that she knows very little about Islam beyond her misconceptions.

In a nutshell, that is my critique of Miss Ali. She, in no way, shape, or form, represents even the slightest opinion of what Islam is or Muslims believe. Truly it is Muslims who leave the faith such as this, and attack their former way of life with such a vengeance that need the Guidance and Mercy of Allah the most. May Allah guide us all, ameen!

Ron Paul speaks the TRUTH

It is about time someone said it! A lot of Muslims I know are jumping on the Barack Obama bandwagon. I never really like Barack, nothing personal, but I have never really felt confident that he can lead the country in the right direction. However, after discovering Ron Paul, and hearing what he has to say, I believe he could be the President that the United States needs to begin moving in the right direction.

Back in the Habit

So, it has been 3 weeks since my last post. I have recently returned from traveling to Iran, and having perhaps the best rest I have had in years.

Iran has been a mainstay in American Media as of late. Unfortunately, much of what is said about Iran are lies, lies, and more lies. Honestly, I could eloborate, but it is 6:30 AM, and my mind has still not woken up. I will leave it at that for now.

Writer’s Block 002

Writers block… Writers block… Writers block…Writers block

I actually do have alot that I would like to write about, but unfortunately, none if it seems to be coming out at the moment. Oh well…. Today was a stressful day, and tomorrow is my last final of the semester. Then I can concentrate on my job for a little over a week until I leave to Persia (you see… I would say Iran, but people associate that with “TERRORISM” and “NUCLEAR BOMBS” and such, so I try to avoid it).

Speaking of which, who gave the government of the United States the right to start pointing the finger at Iran?! If anyone needs the finger pointed at them, it is definately George Bush and his posse. There is no greater terrorist entity in operation today than that of George Bush and Co. Go ahead, argue with me all ya want. Throw some more Al-Qaeda bulls**t at me, and see if I care. Try to claim that Osama is hiding in a cave in Iran, and see what happens!

Am I taking a risk by writing this in my blog. Most definitely I am, and I am aware, but in case nobody noticed, I am just about to the end of my rope with this whole “WAR ON TERROR” crap that I am forcefed each an every day of my life. I am tired of being profiled! I am tired of being stared at! I am tired of being streotyped! I am tired of my friends disappearing and winding up in jail.

Oh, we deserve it do we? Just like the Native Americans deserved what they got?! Hell yeah, those d**n injuns, kill ‘em all. Who needs ‘em? Or perhaps we deserve it as the African peoples deserved to be taken into slavery and oppressed for hundreds of years. Those d**n niggers, right?

Yeah, I can’t agree more. We do deserve it, just as much as they did….

* AM *
